EMSAR - About Us  

The Emery County Search & Rescue Team is called out to find and rescue stranded or injured recreationers on the high desert of the San Rafael Swell, and the rugged alpine mountains of the Wasatch Plateau. 

Our teams are ready to go at a moments notice, and once we are mobilized we often utilize a combination of multiple air ships from the Utah Department of Public Safety and medical air support units from Lifeflight, Airmed, and Careflight. We also use various specialized ground units to locate, recover, and transport those we are called in to help.

The Emery County Search & Rescue is made up of 40 regular members who voluntarily donate their time, equipment, training, and services to help search for and rescue folks who find themselves in desparate situations.
