Emery County contains 4,462 square miles situated in the heart of the American West.

Our location in Southeastern Utah is bordered by the high mountain peaks of the Wasatch Plateau on the west, and the wild desert canyons of the Green River and San Rafael Desert on the east. Elevations in Emery County range from the 11,000(MSL) foot alpine tundra to 4,000(MSL) foot high red deserts. The slot canyons of the San Rafael Swell are known for their beauty and solitude.
